Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a clan of musicians. Growing up, she listened to classical music and traditional Boleros. They also played traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana has a passion for the opera and tango genres as well as all forms of dramatic performance. Ana started to learn how to sing and play instruments as a child alongside her mother. The formal training in singing in the year she turned 16 old under the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. The singer continued her education in the field of music in the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. In Guadalajara along with Mexico City, she was an opera singer in numerous choruses and chamber ensembles. When she moved into The United States in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present place in the southern part of California. She also sings in solo Latin American music for private events and also as part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. She has been involved in many local projects, both as performer and teacher, because of her passion for music and art. Ana was also a member of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently an instructor for the Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to have the opportunity communicate with other people her passion for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes that this will inspire younger generations of musicians to keep the traditional music alive.
